Today we look at Matthew’s account of the Crucifixion, which was to present Jesus as a teacher even greater than Moses.

Our lesson this week tells us Jesus took John, Peter and James with him to the Garden of Gethsemane, praying to God to take the cup from Him.

In these scriptures, we see that Jesus was identifying himself with God, His Father, which could be no doubt as to His claim to be God's Son.
