What comes to mind when you think of the Church? For many, it’s a Sunday morning routine, a physical building, or a series of religious traditions. But throughout Scripture, God reveals a much grander, eternal vision. In the Book of Revelation, the Church is unveiled not merely as an organization, but as a living habitation—the Bride of Christ, adorned for her Husband.
In a powerful message shared at Shekinah Christian Fellowship, Pastor Keith Nord delivered a timely prophetic call titled “Come Here, I Want to Show You the Bride.” Grounded in Revelation 21, the message challenges believers to rise above religious routine and step fully into their divine identity and authority.
The Divine Invitation: “Come Up Here”
In Revelation 21:9–10, an angel invites the Apostle John with a clear summons:
“Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God…
To truly perceive the Bride as God sees her, John had to be carried away in the Spirit to a higher perspective.
We cannot understand our spiritual identity through earthly lenses, worldly comparisons, or religious limitations. God is extending that same invitation to us today: “Come up higher.” It is a call to leave behind petty distractions, exhaustion, and spiritual apathy to behold who we truly are in Christ.
3 Essential Truths About the Bride of Christ
1. You Are the Dwelling Place of God
The New Jerusalem descending from heaven is not merely streets of gold—it represents the redeemed people of God filled with His radiant glory. When you step into a room, you are carrying the presence of the Living God. The Bride is called to reflect the light and beauty of Jesus to a world walking in darkness.
2. Keep Your Lamp Full of Oil
Drawing on the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25), Pastor Keith reminded us that preparation matters. The difference between the wise and the foolish was the reserve of oil.
Spiritual oil represents the inner work of the Holy Spirit—cultivated through private prayer, consecration, intimacy with God, and obedience. You cannot borrow someone else’s fire; we must each cultivate our own walk with God so that when the Bridegroom returns, our lamps are burning brightly.
3. Open the Gates for the King of Glory
Psalm 24 declares: “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.”
As believers, we are the gates and doors through which God’s presence influences our families, workplaces, and communities. When we surrender fully and lift our praise, God’s manifested presence breaks through spiritual resistance, bringing healing, restoration, and revival.

- Cultivate Intimacy: Take intentional time each day to seek God’s presence in quiet prayer and Scripture reading.
- Reflect His Light: Walk with the confidence that you carry the Holy Spirit into every environment you enter.
- Expect the Supernatural: Pray with bold faith, asking God to reveal His glory in your home, community, and church family.
