Practical Points
By Janice Hall
1) Rather than complain about leaders, we should pray for them
The consistency of prayer is very important for the leader’s strength, wisdom and effectiveness in their duties. When challenges arise, prayer is a spiritual weapon that can eradicate the situation. Prayer is essential for sound wisdom and discernment in decision making. Prayer helps with protection in harmful situations, and gives one the resilience to continue. A servant’s heart desires to remain humble and prayer fortifies this area of one’s life and position.
2) If the gospel is to have success in our time, we must undergird it with prayer.
We must pray for wisdom, boldness, compassion, and clarity to express the Word of God. We rely on prayer for open doors and ways to share our faith with others. We are to prepare with diligence in the Word, to be bold in all situations. We pray for God’s Spirit to saturate the atmosphere. We pray for those to heed the Word and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
