In this week’s lesson, we see the transition from the old covenant, the ministration of death, to the glorious new covenant.

During Paul’s day, Greek culture was dominant and the Greeks were proud of their wisdom. Because of this atmosphere, the Corinthian believers were subject to following human wisdom which resulted in dividing the church. In this week’s lesson, Paul encouraged the Christians in Corinth to avoid trusting in human wisdom and focus on God’s wisdom.
